4th of July

So this day has come and gone, now one year older. It was the first time in 4 years that I was at home for my birthday. Yesterday Eric and Kim made steak for me, which was excellent even though the seasoning was only rubbed in. I didn't even know we had a grill at our apartment complex. Last time I grilled anything was back at Davis with famous Phil's bbq. It was fun to just relax and chat after dinner. On my way back to Walnut today, Andy called me for tennis. We ate shaved ice again, which I think will always be welcomed after a grilling day on the court. We had a family dinner and afterwards went to Andy's sister's July 4th party. This was the first time I played with fireworks. Even the little kids were into it. There was one moment though when one of the firecrackers slid under the wooden patio... We finally came home for some pudding cake. This is probably one of the busiest birthdays that I can remember. To aging like fine wine, cheers!
