Happy Valentine's Day (tomorrow)! I got kind of sidetracked the other day, so it's been more than a week since I've updated this website. In other words, no one probably noticed, but I suppose it's good to have a place to type random stuff. Anyway, the other day I was mentioning that I watched the movie, In Her Shoes. Turns out to be an enjoyable movie. It's interesting to put yourself in another's shoes and see how they live, even for a day. That reminds me of how my mom must feel, all the sacrifices that she and my dad made when they first came to the States. Not only did they leave everything normal and familiar to them, they came to a place in the hopes of something better. They missed out on many major events at Taiwan throughout the years, but I'm certain that in the end, they don't have any regrets about what they did. She's at Taiwan now, tying the final knots for 美麗阿姨's cremation and funeral.
Interestingly, I talked to Helen a bit about this. I am glad she lent an ear for me, despite all the crazy (according to her) things I've done. You really are a wonderful person, so cheers to you!
